Just like many of her students, Jana began practicing yoga to improve flexibility and relieve stress and anxiety. She combined that practice with her love of paddle boarding to help others experience yoga and stand-up paddleboarding’s incredible mind-body benefits, founding Hanalei SUP Yoga in 2015.
She holds an E-RYT 200, E-RYT 500 hour certification with Yoga Alliance, a SUP Yoga Certification from Lazy Dog Paddle Yoga in Key West, Florida, and has a World Paddle Association Class II Instructor Certification. Jana is also a Certified aromatherapist and often incorporates sensory experiences with essential oils in her mat-based yoga classes.
Jane was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Work stresses and a tight body from years of running and biking led her to practice yoga in 2012. What was meant to be her outlet to cope with stress, and a stretch class that kept her from sports injuries, eventually led to a new way of life of finding stillness, honoring her body, opening up, letting go, and self-healing.
Jane has been teaching yoga for just over 2 years. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2017 at Ember Hot Yoga. She holds additional certifications in Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra Level 1.
Her classes focus on alignment over depth to help you build a strong foundation in your asana practice and to help keep you injury free. She also provides opportunities to go deeper, to explore, and to have fun. She loves hip openers, twists, core work, arm balances, and heart openers.
Outside yoga and her day job as an Occupational Therapist/Rehabilitation Director, Jane is an avid hiker, wannabe dancer, endurance runner and traveler.

Jane Ellen Beasley
Jane Ellen completed her Dorje 200 hour Teacher Training in March 2016 and has been teaching regularly since then. She found that yoga was the place where her body and spirit craved to be.
Being on her mat enables her to focus on taking care of herself, which is exactly what she wants to help each of her students do.. both inside and outside. She believes it is so important to take time every day to listen to our heart, mind, and soul.
Everyone is at a different place in their practice just like they are in life itself… Jane Ellen works to help each individual to progress in their practice at their own pace by offering modifications, encouragement, and patience.
Jane Ellen completed her certification in Yoga Nidra level 1 earlier this year and she is currently pursuing certification in Tai Chi. She completed her certification in Yoga Nidra level 1 earlier this year.
An avid DIYer, she looks at everything as a new learning experience… her latest conquest was fixing the lawnmower! With the many hats she wears, yogi, realtor, and designer she would have to say that being your yoga instructor is her all time favorite!
After starting yoga as a way to compliment her gym workouts and get ready for her upcoming wedding, Amy quickly learned it was so much more than a way to tone and exercise. She quickly fell in love with the practice and philosophy behind it.
Amy originally signed up for her 200 hour teacher training as a way to dive deeper into her own practice and learnings, but became overwhelmed with the passion she has for teaching and helping others. As a 200 RYT, Amy loves challenging her students in a fun and healthy way and watching them grow both on and off the mat.
